Lia Iordanou Theodoulou
Lia Iordanou Theodorou is heading the Corporate Finance department of Patrikios Pavlou & Associates LLC, a top-tier, multi-award winning law firm based in Cyprus. Lia received her LLB from the University of East Anglia, UK (1986) and she is a Barrister of Gray’s Inn (1987); she was admitted to the Cyprus Bar in 1989.
Lia did two pupillages in London, one in Alan Tyrrel Chambers, a civil set and one in Hollis Whiteman Chambers, a renowned criminal set of chambers. From 1989 until 2005 she worked in the commercial department of Chrysses Demetriades law office.
Focussing in cross-border transactions, Lia advises major international banks, borrowers and multinational corporations. She is listed in key legal directories as a leading practitioner “attesting to detail” and having “extensive experience and documentation skills”.
She is a member of several bodies, including the International Bar Association, the Honorable Society of Gray’s Inn, STEP, the English Bar Association and the Cyprus Bar Association.
Lia held the position of secretary of the Committee on Environment of the Cyprus Bar Association from 1997 until 2011. She was a member of the Special Interest Group on IT law from 2006 until 2009. She was also member of various committees of the IBA.
She is the author of several articles on financial and commercial law matters, corporate, real estate and trusts and has participated and spoken in seminars and conferences in Cyprus and abroad.
