The Cyprus Fiduciary Association (www.cfa.org.cy) organised two (2) independent half-day (4 hour) seminars titled “Risk Assessment, Sanctions and Transaction Monitoring”. (15 May 2019, Columbia Plaza Venue Centre, Limassol and 17 May 2019, Semeli Hotel, Nicosia).
The seminar was addressed to Compliance Professionals and Directors of Administrative Services Providers, but also to any other ASP employees that would like to be updated on the Risk Based Approach, the various restrictive measures and sanction regimes as well as transaction monitoring.
The instructor of the seminar was Mr. Nassos Paltayian.
The objective of the seminar was to inform participants of the principles of the Risk Based Approach and its application in everyday processes of a Trust and Company Service provider (TCSP). We aim to highlight the key factors affecting the risk of a client from an AML perspective as well as methods to mitigate this risk.
